Quality Control Procedures

Wine making kit QC

For wine making kits, beer kits, or turbo yeast, every batch of raw materials is checked extensively and must pass a number of quality controls. They have implemented full trace ability of raw materials and finished products as described in ISO9000.

For winemaking grape concentrates, they typically check Brix (density), colour, acidity, pH etc as well as total and free SO2. In production they adjust sugar levels, acidity and pH to the optimum values for fermentation and clearing of the homemade wine.

Wine yeasts and yeasts used for turbo yeast production have their own QC procedures. Every batch is extensively checked for viability, bacteria content, clearing properties etc

Finings and other processing aids have similar QC procedures defined, again for every batch purchased - both before delivery and after.

Turbo Yeast QC

Every batch of wine kits produced must pass through our QC including various tests and trial fermentations. We save reference kits from each batch for troubleshooting later if ever a problem should occur.
